All the new Batman comics, graphic novels, collections from DC arriving in 2021 and beyond

The list of new Batman comic books is growing every day, between the comic books, digital-first releases, original graphic novels, and collected editions.

We're in the middle of a strange era for Batman comics, as DC's regular Batman titles are on hiatus for the nearly-all-encompassing 'Future State' event which includes a future version of Batman (that's not Bruce Wayne) in The Next Batman, and a Bruce Wayne believed dead but returning with revenge on the mind in Dark Detective.

When the modern-day Bat-family titles resume in March after Future State, James Tynion IV and Jorge Jimenez will resume on Batman but will be joined by new running buddies, as writer Mariko Tamaki and artist Dan Mora are taking over the ongoing Detective Comics title, and a whole cast of creators launching a new anthology series, Batman: Urban Legends. Tynion, as the de facto head writer of DC's Bat-family of titles, recently gave us a rundown of the Bat-plans for 2021.

Operating out on its own is the kinda-sorta-in-continuity Batman/Catwoman maxi-series, which launched in December. Writer Tom King recently spoke with Newsarama about how Batman/Catwoman is a "sexy" superhero comic with the intention to affect Batman in a big way going forward.

Meanwhile, on the horizon is several more intriguing storylines such as Tom Taylor and Andy Kubert's Batman: The Dark Knight limited series, Sean Gordon Murphy's third Batman: White Knight limited series, Marc Silvestri's Batman/Joker: Deadly Duo, and the third volume of Batman: Earth One by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank.

And that's not to mention the numerous collections coming out at almost a weekly clip, putting recent arcs all in one place and, in some cases, bringing back in print storylines that haven't been available for years.
