Where to pre-order GTA 6: bundles, discounts, and how to find pre-load friendly delivery times

GTA 6 pre-orders kicked off with a bang last week and continue to roll on into the summer. PS5 and Xbox versions are both alive and kicking on the shelves this week, but there's one thing you'll need to check before you head to checkout; delivery dates. Preload for GTA 6 beings on November 12, which means you can get everything downloaded and ready for the big day on November 19. However, you'll need to make sure your chosen retailer's delivery timelines comply.

I've checked all the major stores carrying GTA 6 pre-orders to keep you covered here. Walmart is currently sticking to that November 12 release date in the US and Amazon has you sorted for pre-load in the UK right now as well.

Both the Standard and Ultimate editions are now available, but those looking to upgrade their console at the same time can also take advantage of some bundle options.

These are largely focused around UK retailers, but I'm hunting down all the potential savings opportunities across both the US and UK over the next few months. We've still got a way to go until November 19, after all.

At least we aren't facing three-figure price tags. While many were expecting GTA 6 pre-orders to clock in at over $100, the Standard Edition has hit at $79.99 / £69.99 and the Ultimate Edition can be grabbed for $99.99 / £89.99 (though the latter is only available via PS Store or Xbox). All pre-orders come with the nostalgic Vintage Vice City Pack, but you're getting even more swag with the full release.

Where to pre-order GTA 6 in the US

Walmart is one of my front runners for GTA 6 pre-orders. It's clearly stating its November 12 release date, which means you've got plenty of time to get that preload set up before the big day. View Deal

Amazon has GTA 6 pre-orders live and on the shelves, but this store is still holding onto that November 19 release date. That's important - you want to make sure you're getting that digital code in time for pre-load if you're aiming for immediate play on day one. View Deal

Best Buy's a little further down in my recommendations. It's stating that delivery would be available 'on or shortly after release date', with the date in question listed as November 19. It's that lack of November 12 pre-load date and the 'shortly after' that's worrying me. View Deal

GameStop is also sticking by the November 19 release date, with no mention of delivery for November 12. This is also a 2-3 business day shipment, with arrival 'on or shortly after release day.'View Deal

Where to pre-order GTA 6 in the UK

Amazon actually has £2 off GTA 6 pre-orders right now, which is surprising. Not only that, but the retailer will get your case delivered by on Thursday November 12, all ready for that pre-load. This is my top pick for the UK. View Deal

In its 'offers' information, Currys states that it's going to be delivering GTA 6 pre-orders on November 12, giving you plenty of time for preload, rather than the release day listed elsewhere on the page. With free delivery and up to two months of Apple Music, Apple Fitness+, and Apple Arcade, this is my second pick. View Deal

ShopTo has the lowest price going on GTA 6 pre-orders, but its delivery options are a little slower. Royal Mail 1-3 days is available, but it's unclear whether that's from release day or ahead of it, and whether we're talking about November 12 or 19 here. View Deal

Very is also getting in on the GTA action, and while there's no saving here there is free click and collect delivery. The site's a little confusing, though. A great big banner states "available for pre-load from November 12," and yet current delivery dates are set for November 19. View Deal

Argos has GTA 6 pre-orders live, but there's no Collection option available just yet. This one might spring to life later in the year, but for now these cases are set for delivery on November 19 as it stands today, but it's worth watching. View Deal

Pre-order GTA 6 Ultimate Edition

The Ultimate Edition is sadly only available at PlayStation and Xbox's digital stores, meaning you can't pre-order from your go-to retailer for game sales. If that changes, we'll be sure to update you, but right now, your best bet is to go straight to the console sources if you're dead-set on the Ultimate Edition.

Same as US shoppers, you'll need to go to the PlayStation or Xbox digital store if you want to pre-order the Ultimate Edition of GTA 6. I'm hoping this changes, and if it does, we'll let you know, but right now, your best bet is your console manufacturer's digital storefront.

Currently the only way to save on a GTA 6 pre-order in the US, Loaded is offering $100 PS Store gift cards for a few bucks off right now. That's ideal for anyone pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition on PS5. View Deal

If you're not fussed about the box, you can grab a PS Store gift card for just £60.85 at ShopTo right now. That takes nearly £10 off your Standard Edition pre-order, but £100 cards are also down to £85.85 for those after the Ultimate Edition. View Deal

EE is offering over £50 off a PS5 Pro and GTA 6 when pre-ordered together right now, with a delivery date listed as November 12. I've done the numbers and this one checks out, without the discount you're looking at £789.99 for a PS5 Pro and £69.99 for GTA 6. View Deal

Do you need to pre-order GTA 6?

Pre-orders on games are tricky. Their only real benefit is the exclusive in-game items that often come alongside that early commitment - the days of having to reserve your copy are (hopefully) behind us.

If you want to play as soon as the clock hits midnight, though, you will need to pre-order. Pre-load opens up on November 12, which means you'll be able to get everything sorted for the big day.
