New Lego sets March 2026
Following a quiet month, operation "brick avalanche" is back on with the new Lego sets in March 2026. While it's not quite as overwhelming a deluge as January's influx, there are still more than 40 kits hitting shelves this week.
Because there are so many to choose from, and seeing as I spend a lot of my time reviewing, reporting on, and talking about the best Lego sets, I wanted to give you my personal picks to look out for this month. There's no way of getting all of them unless you have several hundred dollars lying around, so these are the new Lego sets in March 2026 that I'd prioritize.
It's certainly a significant month. While many of the usual suspects (City, Technic, etc) are back at the grindstone again, a lot of attention is being paid to a newcomer this month - Smart Play. This initiative sees your new Lego sets play back with you, and it's aimed squarely at younger builders as a result. Skip ahead to the Star Wars section if you want a good look at this new tech!
Set of the month
Lego Ocarina of Time - The Final Battle | $129.99 at Lego
Although I'm a big fan of Smart Play and think it's going to be a big deal for younger builders, I can't ignore this nostalgic ode to one of the most iconic games of all time. While it's still not 'cheap' by any means, it's so much more affordable than the previous model in the series but crams in just as much fan service. It's one hell of a display piece for fans of the N64 classic.

New Lego sets March 2026: Art
The Art range has been having a stellar year so far with drop-dead gorgeous sets. After its Japanese Cherry Blossom Landscape in January, its back with an equally stunning rendition of Monet's famous Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies painting. Like other recent entries, this one is three-dimensional so that it pops off the frame (though not literally, I hope - that'd be a headache to clean up after, considering its 3K+ pieces). It also makes clever use of existing parts to recreate the work, so even if it wasn't the only new Lego Art set in March, it'd still get my nod of approval.

New Lego sets March 2026: Botanicals
Spring is on the way, and even as the first flowers are blooming in the real world, Lego plants are starting to pop up too. With Mother's Day on the not-so-distant horizon in both the US and UK, they've arrived at just the right time.
Of the two kits debuting as part of this month's new Lego sets, my favorite would have to be the Magnolia Branches. They're not quite as much a statement piece as the Sunflower Bouquet, sure, but they're a beautiful blend of colors that will look fabulous by themselves or in amongst other Lego flower arrangements.

New Lego sets March 2026: BrickHeadz
There aren't many BrickHeadz kits to choose from this month, but honestly? I think they're both winners. They have oodles more personality than most models in the range.
As a Disney nerd I was tempted to choose the Monsters Inc. set as my favorite, but I can't get over the Supply Llama and Fishstick's derpy expressions. They're so delightfully vacant.

New Lego sets March 2026: City
I heard the words "moving train set" and I was interested. Then "heist" was added, and I am so in.
It's no contest where my pick for March's new City Lego sets is concerned. Police Train Heist is exactly the kind of nonsense I would have adored as a kid, and even if it's not going to be used to re-enact miniature robberies at (sort of) high speed, being able to weave a working train track through your collection is the stuff daydreams are made of.

New Lego sets March 2026: DC
I am vengeance, I am the night, I am... a surprisingly generous array of Lego Batmobiles, actually. DC is back in the frame this March with a host of new Batman-related sets, ranging from movie throwbacks to a massive Bat-logo for your shelf.
While I adore the new range of Bat-cars at a more affordable price (not to mention a more manageable size), the logo takes pride of place for me this month. If it was just a brick-built version of the Dark Knight's symbol, I'd be lukewarm about the whole affair - but the fact that it's actually made up of greebles including iconic DC items like Batarangs and Harley Quinn's hammer adds a certain charm. Plus, the opening vault door that hides a classic Batman minifigure is a neat touch.

New Lego sets March 2026: Disney
Prepare yourself for cuteness overload, because it's an adorable month of new Lego sets from Disney. Alongside a very sweet rendition of Dug the dog and Kevin the bird from Up that remind me of last year's Wall-E/Eve combo, there's the sweetest Winnie the Pooh and Piglet figures. These are beyond sweet, and the Pooh model with a honey pot (which opens up to reveal Pooh's house, along with Eeyore) easily scores my tip of the hat in March as Editor's choice.
I did want to shout out the Nightmare Before Christmas model too, though. I'm a big fan of 'replica' sets, and this one feels like something Sally herself would have on a shelf at home in that creepy castle.

New Lego sets March 2026: Editions
A new range is on the block: Lego "Editions." There are just two models available for it so far, and they seem to be focused entirely on soccer/football, depending on which side of the pond you're reading from.
Sure, the soccer ball is fun, and it opens to reveal a pitch. But come on - you can't beat that trophy, especially with it packing a hidden compartment too. I've seen this in person, and it's a triumph that does the real deal justice.

New Lego sets March 2026: Icons
It's a surprisingly stacked month for Icons kits, and oh my but do they run the gamut. There's movie tie-ins like the Project Hail Mary ship at one end and a Ford Model T at the other. Talk about polar opposites.
However, I adore Sauron's Helmet most. It's a really accurate but not overwhelmingly massive rendition of the baddie's noggin as seen on screen in Fellowship of the Ring, and hopefully this is the start of a new range in the vein of the Star Wars helmets.

New Lego sets March 2026: Ideas
If you're getting a sense of deja vu this month, it's not just you. Lego has reskinned its Tuxedo Cat for a new, orange version, and it's basically identical to the other one albeit with a different color.
That's why the snuggly Sea Otters set is what I'm shining a spotlight on this month. It's a little diorama showing a parent and child floating down the river, and it's completely, heart-achingly adorable.

New Lego sets March 2026: Legend of Zelda
Following last year's rather magnificent Deku Tree kit, Lego is going back to Hyrule with a brand-new set based on Ocarina of Time. More specifically, it's focusing on that game's final battle against Ganondorf... who promptly transforms into arch pig-demon Ganon, complete with transluscent weak-points (which is very considerate of him, to be honest).
Because it's a cheaper, more focused set that still packs a lot of detail - not to mention nostalgia - in despite the smaller surface area, I suspect this is going to be a popular one with fans. It's also the first to feature an Ocarina-style Princess Zelda minifigure, not to mention Ganondorf. (Adult Link and many accessories have been seen before, though.)

New Lego sets March 2026: Ninjago
Lego's ninja-based range is back for another round of mech-based battles, and while I'm incredibly fond of weird little guys (as seen by the strange alien guy in the Jay's Dragon Mech Fight kit), I can't go any further without acknowledging how impressive the Lloyd's Titan Mech model is. This towering monster is enough to put the fear in any self-respecting ninja, and it reminds me of the Power Rangers' heyday in the '90s.

Following a manic start to the year in January, Speed Champions is back with a more laid-back attitude in March; there's only two kits this time around. These will both be a delight to F1 fans young and old alike, but I prefer the F1 Academy kit because it's so freakin' colorful. How could you feel glum with the winter blues after seeing that tear past on the miniature racetrack?

New Lego sets March: Star Wars
It's fitting that a galaxy far, far away is at the cutting edge of new technology this month; all the new Star Wars Lego sets in March use Smart Play. I've already gone on record saying that I think this could change everything, and having tried it myself since then, I really do believe that to be true. It's not going to be what older builders want, but frankly, it's not for them - it's designed for young kids to interact with, and I'm betting they'll find the idea delightful. I certainly would have adored it as a young padawan, because it truly responds to your movements (including speed) with sound and light effects.
There are plenty of Smart Play-compatible kits on the way this month (such as a new Millennium Falcon), but they don't include the necessary Smart Brick to make everything "go." For that, you need one of three starter sets... and my favorite of them all would be Luke's Red Five X-Wing, because it packs a ship, a couple of Smart Minifigures, and a laser cannon to fight against. It's a roleplay experience for kids in one package, and probably strikes the best balance of price vs. quantity.

New Lego sets March 2026: Technic
It's a pretty busy month for Technic, and four new kits are landing on March 1. These are classic Technic models; aside from a small motorbike that's pocket-change, the others are detailed renditions of cars from rally racing to F1.
I'd be tempted to nod at the McLaren MCL39 as my set of the month because, like all F1 models, it's an impressive work of engineering, but then I saw that the Jeep Wrangler comes with a miniature rubber duck for reasons that are quite beyond me. As such, it must earn my gold star of an Editor's choice award. Working engines? Bouncy suspension? Pfft. A rubber duck? Yes.

The final sets of the month are... well, an eclectic pair. First up is the London Bus, which gets my vote as Editor's choice because it's a slice of home. This is then followed by massive tanker model, which does a good job of showing off the humbling scale of these vessels.
