PS5 restock updates - Your guide to buying a PlayStation 5
PS5 restocks are still holding in both the US and UK today, with a spattering of new listings appearing in Blighty and stock remaining available stateside as well. There's good news this morning, though, with a new stock drop readied for the end of the week.
That PS5 stock will be available at Amazon from October 21, but you'll need to make sure you're signed up for email invites. You may receive an exclusive link to buy on Friday, but this isn't guaranteed. Still, we've been seeing regular PS5 restocks here in recent months (save for last week), and it's the only place you'll find standalone stock right now. If you'd rather place your order straight away, you'll need to head to Sony today. There, you'll find Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 bundles available - though these ship at the end of the month.
The UK is also well served by Sony. This is where we're seeing the cheapest bundles on the web right now, after Game ran out of stock yesterday. You can choose between Horizon: Forbidden West (at £529.99), FIFA 23, or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II at £539.99.
You'll find all the latest PS5 restock action just below, as well as the retailers you should be checking every day and our own top tips for finding new stock further down the page.
Where to buy PS5 today
You'll find the current PS5 stock situation as of 10.33am ET / 3.33pm BST on Thursday, October 20 below.
UK | Sony - cheapest bundle £529.99
Sony has the cheapest bundle in the UK right now, after Game ran out of stock yesterday. You'll find this £529.99 package on the shelves (as long as you sign in with a PSN account), packing Horizon: Forbidden West.

PS5 restocks - US
Even in bundle format, we're still chasing PS5 restocks across the US. Things are by no means as bad as they once were, though, and we're even seeing some bundles holding their positions on the shelves at retailers like Walmart and Sony.
Amazon - Next PS5 restock October 21
Amazon has updated its PS5 product page today, revealing the next wave of restocks will launch on October 21. This is an email invite system, so be sure to sign up if you haven't already.
Sony - last seen October 19
Sony had PS5 stock for a good few weeks there, but we saw the last of those bundles leave the shelves yesterday. We'd keep a close eye out here, though - between email registrations and sign-in-only bundles, Sony usually has something else up its sleeve.
Walmart - Last restock September 9
Walmart had a Horizon Forbidden West bundle on the shelves for a record amount of time over the last two weeks, with stock showing up day after day without wavering. However, it seems this honeymoon has come to an end, with the console unavailable today.
GameStop - last restock September 24
GameStop has been out of the rat race recently, but an in-store drop over the weekend has changed all that. We saw Pro Members rocking up to brick and mortar stores to enjoy exclusive PS5 bundles recently, so there may be more shipments making their way online soon.
Target - last restock April 15
Target has moved to an in-store first approach, which means you'll be able to scout out local stock without competing against the entire country. The last time we saw an online PS5 restock here was back in April, so we'd recommend checking your regional availability.
Best Buy - last restock July 22
This store hasn't been as prolific of late, but given the huge reach we'd never count it out. We've given up trying to predict Best Buy PS5 days as the Thursday/Friday pattern it once favored has been all over the place lately with weekend and Monday drops popping up at random. Great, more randomness. The good news is you no longer need to be a Total Tech Member to take advantage of restocks - July's drop was open to everyone.

Sony - cheapest bundle £529.99
Sony was previously offering stock of a console by itself at the new £479.99 RRP, but today we're seen that stock disappear. However, you can still grab a Horizon: Forbidden West bundle at £529.99 or Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 / FIFA 23 at £539.99 here - while waiting for the games themselves to release before shipping.

Very - cheapest bundle £598.98
Very is once again offering PS5 stock this week, with the cheapest bundle option coming in at £598.98. That price sits on a FIFA 23 package with a copy of Horizon Forbidden West, but you'll also find an option for a Pulse 3D headset instead as well. It's worth noting, though, that delivery is set for October 28.
Box - cheapest bundle £674.99
Box has a listed saving on this mega-bundle, but with the majority of the extra items on sale right now you're actually paying slightly over the everyday price for everything listed. The Horizon bundle itself carries a £529.99 RRP (but can be found for £519), Lego Star Wars is £44.99 as standard (but is currently £35.99 at Amazon), the £59.99 DualSense controller is £54 right now, and the Logitech headset is £20 off across the web as well (now £34.99).

Currys - cheapest bundle £699
Currys has its higher priced bundles back in stock today, after running out of steam last week. The cheapest of these packages includes copies of FIFA 23 and Lego Star Wars, as well as an extra DualSense controller and a SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ wireless headset.
Scan - cheapest bundle £769.98
You're spending a little more here than we would usually see on a PS5 bundle, but if you're looking to pick up extra storage, an extra DualSense controller, and a copy of FIFA 23 there's still solid value here.

Studio - 'back in stock soon'
Studio recently ran out of PS5 stock, but this Horizon and DualSense bundle is currently listed as 'back in stock soon' at the time of writing. This might be one to look out for, then, if you're looking to dive into Aloy's next adventure and keep a spare controller charged for the journey.
Game - last seen October 19
Game had a solid selection of bundles on the shelves just yesterday, but that's all come crashing down now. We're still seeing the listings on the page, just greyed out, which means we could see a quick turnaround here.
ShopTo - Last seen October 18
ShopTo was previously offering one of the cheapest bundles available, but that stock has run out today. We'd recommend checking in regularly here, though, because we often see some of the best prices on the web.
BT- last seen October 12
BT has been offering PS5 stock to its own customers for weeks now, but it looks like that supply has finally run dry. You won't find any consoles here at the moment, but stay tuned because these are often some of the best value bundles out there.
Argos - last seen September 20
Argos doesn't have any PS5 consoles in the warehouse this week, dropping the last of its stock at the start of the week. However, this is a post-code system so it's always worth checking in to see if there are any at your local store.
Amazon - last restock September 14
We were seeing Amazon offering a Horizon Forbidden West bundle without requiring an email invite at the start of the month. However, that stock has now run dry - as expected. We'd recommend checking in regularly here, though, as you can still sign up for notifications on standalone consoles.

- Canada PS5 Digital Edition ($499.99): Amazon | Best Buy | Walmart
Our PS5 restock top tips
We've been tracking PS5 restocks since the console launched, scouring the web day after day for even a hint of a DualSense on the shelves. That means we've seen hundreds of drops come and go and resisted the urge to dive into each and every one ourselves. We've certainly picked up some tips and tricks to finding these elusive drops along the way.
Should you buy PS5 restock bundles?
Picking up a PS5 by itself is far more difficult than finding it bundled up with some games and accessories. Retailers prefer to package extra kit into their listings, and they do tend to stick around on the shelves a lot longer. We'd always recommend checking the value of the additional PS5 accessories you're buying against the total of the bundle, however, to make sure you're not being ripped off - you should only ever pay MSRP for anything you find.
Is it still hard to buy PS5?
The state of PS5 stock today depends on your region. In the US, individual consoles are particularly difficult to locate and even bundles represent a rare opportunity. However, over in the UK we're seeing far more bundles holding their position on the shelves (standalone consoles are still rare).
Another item you might want to pick up once you've been able to buy a PS5 is one of the options on our best PS5 external hard drives page to increase your storage capacity. Or if you've got the need for speed, the best PS5 SSD might be worth a look.
