PS5 restock updates - Your guide to buying a PlayStation 5
PS5 restock hunters are well served right now, with stock available in both the US and UK. There are a few catches here, you might have to wait for your chosen bundle to ship - but if you're quick you'll be able to get your console in hand within the next few weeks.
We'd always recommend signing up for email invites at Amazon as a starting point. We've seen new PS5 restocks dropping every week here, via the retailer's invite scheme. Get your name on the list before Friday, as that's when we've seen new stock take flight over the last month. If you'd rather place your order straight away, you'll need to head to Sony today. There, you'll find Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 bundles available - though these ship at the end of the month.
Over in the UK, things have shifted slightly. Currys and Sony are the only retailer offering PS5 stock at a sensible price ready for immediate shipping right now, but if you don't need your console straight away we'd recommend heading to Very. You'll find cheaper bundles here than Currys, and more choice than Sony - but will have to wait until the end of the month for shipping.
You'll find all the latest PS5 restock action just below, as well as the retailers you should be checking every day and our own top tips for finding new stock further down the page.
Where to buy PS5 today
You'll find the current PS5 stock situation as of 1.49pm ET / 6.49pm BST on Tuesday October 11 below.
US - Sony | Modern Warfare 2 bundle now live
If you're happy to wait for a little while, Sony does have PS5 stock ready and available to buy right now - just with an October 28 release date. That's because this is a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 bundle. Still, this is the only way to actively buy PS5 in the US today.
UK - Very | overall best option in the UK
While Very's stock is set to ship on October 28, this retailer is offering some of the cheapest bundles (starting from £544) and the most choice right now. Currys' offerings are significantly more expensive, Sony's is only slightly cheaper but you've only got one bundle option, and other retailers have their stock on backorder.
PS5 restocks - US
Even in bundle format, we're still chasing PS5 restocks across the US. Things are by no means as bad as they once were, though, and we're even seeing some bundles holding their positions on the shelves at retailers like Walmart and Sony.
Amazon - Register for email invites
We've been seeing Amazon's PS5 restock game stepping up over the last few weeks. With drops running regularly through September and a few surprise restocks in between, there's every reason to sign up for an email invite right now.
Sony - Modern Warfare 2 bundle now live
Sony has stock of the PS5 with a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 included for a grand total of $559.99 right now. This is a pre-order, though, with the full package shipping on October 28.
Walmart - Last restock September 9
Walmart had a Horizon Forbidden West bundle on the shelves for a record amount of time over the last two weeks, with stock showing up day after day without wavering. However, it seems this honeymoon has come to an end, with the console unavailable today.
GameStop - last restock September 24
GameStop has been out of the rat race recently, but an in-store drop over the weekend has changed all that. We saw Pro Members rocking up to brick and mortar stores to enjoy exclusive PS5 bundles recently, so there may be more shipments making their way online soon.
Target - last restock April 15
Target has moved to an in-store first approach, which means you'll be able to scout out local stock without competing against the entire country. The last time we saw an online PS5 restock here was back in April, so we'd recommend checking your regional availability.
Best Buy - last restock July 22
This store hasn't been as prolific of late, but given the huge reach we'd never count it out. We've given up trying to predict Best Buy PS5 days as the Thursday/Friday pattern it once favored has been all over the place lately with weekend and Monday drops popping up at random. Great, more randomness. The good news is you no longer need to be a Total Tech Member to take advantage of restocks - July's drop was open to everyone.
PS5 restocks - UK
ShopTo - cheapest bundle £507.85
ShopTo has one of the cheapest bundles readily available on the shelves today, with a copy of FIFA 23, a DualSense controller, and the Digital Edition of the PS5 console included for just £507.85. That's an excellent offer, especially if you don't need the full Disk edition. However, this stock is currently on backorder, so you won't get a delivery date.
BT - cheapest bundle £449.99 (BT customers only)
BT opened its latest PS5 restocks open to the wider market over the weekend, but has now restricted its bundles to those already in its ecosystem. Still, we do see BT turning that exclusivity switch on and off again, so it's worth keeping a close eye.
Sony - cheapest bundle £539.99
Sony was previously offering stock of a console by itself at the new £479.99 RRP, but today we're seen that stock disappear. However, you can still grab a FIFA 23 or Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 bundle here - while waiting for the games themselves to release before shipping.

Very - cheapest bundle £544.98
Very is once again offering PS5 stock this week, with the cheapest bundle option coming in at £544.98. That price sits on a FIFA 23 package, but you'll also find offers including Horizon Forbidden West, an extra controller, or a Pulse 3D headset available here. It's worth noting, though, that delivery is set for October 28.
Currys - cheapest bundle £699
Currys was previously offering bundles at £599 and then at £649, but those packages have all sold out now. The next cheapest options come in at £699, with a headset, Lego Star Wars, and an extra DualSense controller up for grabs.
Scan - cheapest bundle £789.98
You're spending a little more here than we would usually see on a PS5 bundle, but if you're looking to pick up extra storage, an extra DualSense controller, and a copy of FIFA 23 there's still solid value here.

Game - last seen October 4
Game's bundles are all off the shelves today, after the retailer offered a wealth of different package options over the weekend. Still, we expect this stock to come back into play shortly so it's worth keeping an eye out.
Studio - last seen September 30
Studio has run out of PS5 stock running into October, previously offering a FIFA bundle with a DualSense controller included for £599.99. That was a pricier package, but still offered excellent value.
Argos - last seen September 20
Argos doesn't have any PS5 consoles in the warehouse this week, dropping the last of its stock at the start of the week. However, this is a post-code system so it's always worth checking in to see if there are any at your local store.
Amazon - last restock September 14
We were seeing Amazon offering a Horizon Forbidden West bundle without requiring an email invite at the start of the month. However, that stock has now run dry - as expected. We'd recommend checking in regularly here, though, as you can still sign up for notifications on standalone consoles.

- Canada PS5 Digital Edition ($499.99): Amazon | Best Buy | Walmart
Our PS5 restock top tips
We've been tracking PS5 restocks since the console launched, scouring the web day after day for even a hint of a DualSense on the shelves. That means we've seen hundreds of drops come and go and resisted the urge to dive into each and every one ourselves. We've certainly picked up some tips and tricks to finding these elusive drops along the way.
Should you buy PS5 restock bundles?
Picking up a PS5 by itself is far more difficult than finding it bundled up with some games and accessories. Retailers prefer to package extra kit into their listings, and they do tend to stick around on the shelves a lot longer. We'd always recommend checking the value of the additional PS5 accessories you're buying against the total of the bundle, however, to make sure you're not being ripped off - you should only ever pay MSRP for anything you find.
Is it still hard to buy PS5?
The state of PS5 stock today depends on your region. In the US, individual consoles are particularly difficult to locate and even bundles represent a rare opportunity. However, over in the UK we're seeing far more bundles holding their position on the shelves (standalone consoles are still rare).
Another item you might want to pick up once you've been able to buy a PS5 is one of the options on our best PS5 external hard drives page to increase your storage capacity. Or if you've got the need for speed, the best PS5 SSD might be worth a look.
