Call of Duty: Warzone patch notes: fixes for Caldera map peeking and "a bottomless pit of despair"
Update - January 27, 2022: The latest Call of Duty: Warzone patch notes addressed "various elements" in the new Caldera map which allowed players to peek or shoot through the environment, among several other bugs.
Warzone players have literally been poking holes in Caldera since the map was released, so these fixes are easily the biggest in the patch. That said, a few bizarre bugs causing "instability" were also squashed, with causes ranging from double-tapping the Xbox home button while playing Warzone to typing non-ASCII characters in-game. Another issue which could cause the menu screen to flicker was also resolved.
Oh, and let's not forget this gem of a line: "Fixed an issue causing players to fall into a bottomless pit of despair when attempting to take a dip in the pool." Sealing bottomless pits of despair? Now that's a patch.

A new set of Call of Duty: Warzone patch notes are here for January 12, bringing in new changes to Caldera, weapons, and more.
Headlining the brand new Warzone patch notes is the new Vanguard Plunder mode. Other Vanguard-specific modes were already available in Warzone, limiting players to weapons and Operators exclusively from Sledgehammer's latest shooter, but this time there's a Plunder spin on the usual Vanguard playlist.
Elsewhere, there's Isabella Rosario Dulnuan Reyes: S.O.T.F. Trident joining the fray as a brand new Operator, who can be unlocked from the COD Store. Also joining the store in the mid-season update is Tracer Pack: Attack on Titan, Warzone's crossover event with the hit manga/anime, introducing a new Legendary Operator skin themed around Levi, as well as three new weapon blueprints, charms, emblems, and more.
There's also the new Welgen Submachine Gun dropping into Warzone with the new update. This SMG, hailing from Vanguard, is unlike others in that it's actually quite heavy duty, packing a significant punch with fairly rapid fire, so you can take out enemies from close to medium range with relative ease.
Unlike past Warzone patch notes, this new update will take up less than 10GB across all platforms. PlayStation platforms will need merely 4.8GBs of free space, while Xbox counterparts require just 5.1GB. If you've got Modern Warfare and Warzone downloaded on PC, you're looking at an 8GB download, but that's reduced to 3.9GB if you're just running Warzone.
