Red Dead Online patch notes: Free fast travel, better posse bonuses, and more

The new Red Dead Online patch notes are here, and they're stuffed with rewards for dirty deeds and ways to get there cheap.

Hopefully you've saved up your vacation plans, because you'll be able to fast travel for free throughout the week. Use it to catch up with friends, as you'll get an extra 20% boost to your XP gains for rolling with a posse in group activities, on top of the usual posse bonus.

Rockstar Games is giving away double RDO$ and XP to Red Dead Online players who manage to complete the Ember of the East opportunity, however you get it done. You'll also get double cash and XP for finishing the Cornwall Contract and Bluewater Contract, and clearing out any Blood Money Contracts this week will also give you a free vest and 2,000 XP. Keep an eye out for extra Capitale while you're out on the job during Contracts this week - and that's just the start of your Capitale gains.

Completing a Clearing House Crime this week will net you an extra 5 Capitale (it may take up to 72 hours to show up in your account), and you'll get another lump-sum bonus based on your current rank at the end of Monday, September 27: players of rank 5 or less will get 10 Capitale, players from rank 6 to 50 will get 15 Capitale, and players above rank 50 will get 20.

Cowpokes looking to save some cash should look out for 40% savings on off-hand holsters, as well as 30% off on all coats, revolvers, and Select Skill Pamphlets.
