Check out new Avengers #50 / #750 variant covers

Marvel's Avengers #50 on November 17 is already a standard comic book milestone but the publishing is doubling down by designating it as the 750th overall issue in the storied now series of series.

The issue will also serve as the climax of several ongoing plotlines storylines before regular writer Jason Aaron shifts gears into the next phase of his long-term plans for the series.

"[Avengers #50 is] the beginning of the next big stage in the overall evolution, and in some sense maybe even the crescendo, of not just my Avengers run, but of everything I've been doing at Marvel for the last 16 years," Aaron recently wrote in his newsletter.

Marvel has released a new batch of variant covers to the special issue.

As seen in our gallery Carmen Carnero draws perhaps the Avengers' greatest and most tragic romantic couple the Scarlet Witch and Vision.

Rob Liefeld draws Deadpool in what is also that character's 30th Anniversary cover.

Former regular series artist Ed McGuinness draws the Multiversal Masters of Evil, the new group of villains that will be plaguing the Earth's Mightiest Heroes beginning that issue.

Plus Simone Bianchi and Ron Lim both draw She-Hulk and Marcos Martin draws Jarvis admiring a large portrait of team members as depicted in the '60s and '70s.

Those new covers are joined by the standard cover by McGuinness that mirrors the new variant, along with previously released variants by Steve McNiven, Stefano Caselli, Jack Kirby (a 'hidden gem' variant), and Arthur Adams (an Infinity Saga Phase 1 variant).

Avengers #50/750 will be hitting on several "game changing" storylines but multiple creative teams, including (but not limited to)

  • The finale of the current 'World War She-Hulk' storyline
  • Revealing the "true purpose" of the prehistoric Avengers team from the year 1,000,000 BC
  • Uncovering the "shocking secret" of the Iron Inquisitor character
  • The return of Doctor Doom's Multiversal Masters of Evil from August 18's Free Comic Book Day: Avengers/Hulk #1 giveaway comic

If that wasn't enough, it'll also be the kickoff of a Multiversal road trip for Ghost Rider Robbie Reyes, the reveal of several "surprising" new Avengers teammates.

"It's such an honor to be a part of issue #750 of Avengers, and I'm looking to celebrate the rich history of the title and its iconic characters by using this issue as the gargantuan-sized kick-off for a story that'll be as wildly sweeping and swing-for-the-fences epic as it can possibly be," Aaron said when the issue was announced.

Aaron will be joined on Avengers #50/#750 by current series artist Javier Garrón, former series artist Ed McGuiness, as well as Carlos Pacheco and Aaron Kuder.

Avengers #50/#750 goes on sale on November 17.

Be sure you've read ALL the best Avengers stories out there.
