Red Dead Online patch notes: new missions, big weapon discounts, and a precious yellow diamond

The latest Red Dead Online patch notes are a fairly standard batch of discounts and bonuses, but with the spicy addition of some new missions following up on the Blood Money update.

The famed yellow diamond Il Sovrano will be up for grabs in a new Opportunity mission which will reward a free weapon component when cleared on normal difficulty, and an exclusive top hat when cleared on ruthless difficulty. 

The new Saloons Contract will also introduce three more missions said to "help players gear up" for the incoming survival mode Call to Arms. This will take you across bars in Saint Denis, and Rockstar teased that "some owners will require more force than others to comply," so dust off your favorite revolver. 

If you're in need of a new or more persuasive weapon, you can get melee weapons, the bow, and the improved bow for 40% off this week. Role weapon variants and shotguns will also be 30% off, and to complete your cowpoke look, hats are 40% off while Turkoman horses are 30% off. 

Quick Draw Club No. 1 owners will get an additional offer for 50% off an Established or Distinguished Role item as well as a free shirt and coat, and Prime Gaming subs can get an additional 50% off the Rolling Block rifle, 30% off select camp equipment, and a free hat up to rank 15.
