Red Dead Online patch notes: new horde mode, a "high stakes" contract, fresh discounts, and more

This week's Red Dead Online patch notes detail the new Call to Arms survival mode, a new contract involving a "high stakes robbery," loads of new discounts, fresh bonuses, and more. Let's break down everything new in Red Dead Online.

The headliner here is probably Call to Arms, a new co-op horde mode where you and your allies are tasked with defending certain locations from 10 waves of enemies. Maps include Blackwater, Fort Mercer, Valentine, Strawberry, and MacFarlane's Ranch, and you'll want to know each one's layout well so that you can position each player strategically. Rewards include triple RDO$, XP, and Gold, as well as an Offer good for 30% off any Novice or Promising role item.

The new Cornwall Contract sounds very dangerous, but we all knew outlawing's more than just sipping whiskey and crashing weddings. Take on this Contract from Guido Martelli and you'll be off to Cornwall Kerosene & Tar in the Heartlands to lead a high-stakes robbery of Leviticus Cornwall, one of the richest folks in the states.

Quick Draw Club No. 2 kicks off this week, the second in an ongoing series of passes designed to help out bandits in need of some new gear. You can get the second pass for 25 Gold Bars until September 6, and you'll have 25 ranks to work through to recoup your investment and earn rare items and bonuses. Plus, Quick Draw Club No. 1 members who buy the second pass get an extra RDO$300 and 2,000 character XP within 72 hours. If you buy all four passes, you'll get a Reward to claim the upcoming Halloween Pass 2 for free.
