Red Dead Online patch notes: more discounts and freebies ahead of the Blood Money update

This week's Red Dead Online patch notes are paving the way to the Blood Money update coming July 13 with a mix of discounts and giveaways for gear and abilities. 

The latest RDO$ and XP bonuses focus on the Land of Opportunities missions and Showdown Modes, with both awarding double rewards all week. The "Kill Them, Each and Every One" mission, in particular, will also award a free treasure map. Meanwhile, winning any Showdown Mode will get you a coupon for 30% off any ability card. 

High-ranking players can take advantage of a few exclusive discounts this week. Players ranked 100 or above can save 50% off select weapons, and by winning a Showdown Mode, knock three gold bars off the price of a Moonshiner bar theme. There's good news for low-rank players, too: the weapons and pamphlets sold at the Fence won't have any rank requirements this week. Anyone who buys a weapon modification will also receive 40% off a select revolver and 200 express revolver to go with it. 

Generic discounts include 40% off ability cards, Fence weapons and pamphlets, and 30% off shotguns, sniper rifles, Turkoman horses, hats, and bandoliers. Red Dead Online certainly seems to be encouraging players to splurge a little and suit up before Blood Money arrives. 

As usual, there's a new batch of Prime Gaming rewards this month as well. If you connect your Prime account to your Rockstar account by August 2, you'll get a free saddle, two free treasure maps, and an offer for 40% off the fast travel post. 

Rockstar says more Blood Money details will arrive tomorrow, July 7, so be on the lookout for more Red Dead details soon.
