Red Dead Online patch notes: Blood Money brings in new Crimes and Opportunities

The latest Red Dead Online patch notes herald the arrival of the big Blood Money update, giving ambitious desperadoes new ways to improve their lot in the old west's criminal underworld.

The headlining feature is the addition of new Crimes and Opportunities, and to get the proper introduction you'll want to head to the west side of Saint Denis and introduce yourself to Guido Martelli - underling of the infamous mobster Angelo Bronte. The Bronte family conducts its internal business dealings (crimes, that is) based on a system called Capitale, and the best way to get more of it is by shaking it down from other crooks.

Four of Martelli's associates will give you a chance to recover some of that precious Capitale, assuming you can earn their trust: there's Anthony Foreman, who can be found in Rhodes or Doyle's Tavern in Saint Denis; James Langton in Hennigan's Stead or his cabin by Lake Don Julio; Sean Macguire in Great Plains or Tall Trees; and Joe in Osman Grove, New Hanover.

New Crime Contracts are another chance to amass Capitale in Red Dead Online, but they'll have bigger challenges to match: the Railroad Contract, the Jeb Phelps Contract, and The Bluewater Contract are up first, and Rockstar Games says it will detail two more Opportunities in the weeks ahead.

The Blood Money update also brings in the first pass of the Quick Draw Club, giving you the chance to earn rewards across 25 Ranks (including enough gold bars to cover your initial purchase), and your first chance to buy items from previous Outlaw Passes - starting with the Haraway outfit and Rebellion Poncho from Madam Nazar, and numerous Pamphlets (including Fast Travel from Wilderness Camp) from any fence.

Meanwhile, if you're playing on PC and have a compatible graphics card, you'll now be able to enable Nvidia DLSS from within the settings menu, and PlayStation players will be able to log in without PS Plus from July 13 until July 26.
