Loki release schedule: when is episode 5 airing on Disney Plus?

After that cliffhanger, all eyes are on the Loki episode 5 release date. But your eyes might be wandering. After all, Black Widow is out in the very same week that the God of Mischief's penultimate episode makes its bow (and on the very same day in the UK). How does that affect your plans? Should it. Our advice is to squeeze in Loki ASAP, then focus on Natasha's standalone adventure on the big screen or Disney Plus.

To help you out in that regard, we've mapped out the Loki release schedule, including the exact time you can stream the new episode on Disney Plus this coming Wednesday. Perfect for those who want to dodge spoilers and not have the middle of their weeks ruined.

The Loki episode 5 release date is July 7. Black Widow is out on July 9 (July 7 in the UK), but things aren't affected in terms of Loki's weekly Wednesday rollout.

It's streaming on Disney Plus from 12:00am (midnight) Pacific/3:00am Eastern. Over in the UK, that's a slightly more manageable 8:00am.

However, the episode is likely to drop even earlier. Be sure to check in around 10-15 minutes ahead of time to see if Disney Plus has the goods on its Loki landing page.

We're at the halfway point. Despite Black Widow's imminent release, Loki is sticking to Wednesdays right through to the bitter end. The finale to the six-part series is all set (and is officially complete according to director Kate Herron) for July 14.

  • Loki episode 1 – June 9
  • Loki episode 2 – June 16
  • Loki episode 3 – June 23
  • Loki episode 4 – June 30
  • Loki episode 5 – July 7
  • Loki episode 6 (finale) – July 14

Yes! Loki himself, Tom Hiddleston, confirmed the news in a recent featurette. Why the change? It’s likely to avoid a clash with Marvel Phase 4 movie Black Widow, which is debuting in cinemas (and on Disney Plus’ Premiere Access) on Friday, July 9. The Mandalorian’s first season also aired an episode in the middle of the week to sidestep a head-to-head with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in 2019. UK fans might have a packed schedule on July 7, though. Black Widow is out early in cinemas there and Loki's penultimate episode drops all on the same day.
