Call of Duty: Warzone patch notes introduce new Season 4 Operators and weapons

New Call of Duty: Warzone patch notes are live right now, introducing the new Season 4 update for the battle royale game.

As ever, there's a brand new Battle Pass available through the new seasonal update. You'll be able to progress through the usual 100 tiers of rewards in the pass itself, which includes new Operator Jackal, new skins for Song, Adler, and Zeyna, and a total of 10 elite new weapon Blueprints to unlock.

Elsewhere, there's a brand new event called Ground Fall to ring in the new season. This mode positions several sat-link stations on the Verdansk 84 map, which you and your team can use to triangulate the position of a fallen satellite, bagging yourselves cash and weapons. Rewards for this limited-time event include Emblems, Calling Cards, Blueprints, and more.

There's also a playlist update for all Warzone players with the new patch notes. Plunder Blood Money Quads on Verdansk 84 is exiting the game, as is Resurgence Duos on Rebirth Island. Staying in the battle royale game's rotation is Resurgence Quads on Rebirth Island, and coming into the game are Resurgence Mini Trios and Plunder Quads on Verdansk 84.

Red Doors have appeared in Verdansk 84 with the new patch notes, which you might recall were linked to a time travel theory in Warzone earlier this year. The Downtown Tower is now under "New Management," removing Die Hard's Nakatomi Plaza from the game, and there's an entirely new Gulag, which uses the central area of the Hijacked multiplayer map.

There's also a new 120Hz update for the PS5 version of Call of Duty: Warzone. This means PS5 players that are kitted out with a 120Hz TV and a HDMI 2.1 can now finally play the battle royale game at 120FPS. We'll be interested to see how this new mode holds up under greater technical scrutiny, however.

There's a new vehicle to take for a spin in Warzone: enter the Dirt Bike! This new vehicle will be scattered across Verdansk 84 at randomized locations at the beginning of a match, and can support two players at a time. It's actually faster than any other vehicle in the game, but has the same amount of health as the ATV.

As for weapons in the new Warzone patch notes, the spawn rate of the Self-Revive items have been reduced. The Combat Bow Killstreak has been added to the loot pool of the game for players to uncover however, as have the C58 assault rifle, the MG 82 light machine gun, the Nail Gun SMG, the OTs 9 SMG, and the baseball bat melee weapon, all of which can now be found in supply crates around the map.

As for the download size of the new Warzone patch, it's 11GB on both PS4 and PS5, and 11.2GB on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Finally, PC players will have a 12.3GB download if they only own Warzone, or a 13.5GB download if they own both Warzone and 2019's Modern Warfare.
